ORCID provides a persistent digital identifier (an ORCID iD) that researchers own and control, and that distinguishes them from every other researcher. Researchers can connect their iD with their professional information — affiliations, grants, publications, peer review, and more. Researchers can then use their iD to share your information with other systems, ensuring they get recognition for all their contributions, saving them time and hassle, and reducing the risk of errors.
